Soon after the creation of Postmaster Cadre in the Department of Posts, it was felt necessary to form a separate Association for the members of the cadre for their mutual benefits. In the fifth general meeting of the Postmasters Cadre, W. B. Circle held on 29/07/2012 at the Conference Room of Burrabazar HO and all the 36 Postmasters present at the meeting unanimously decided and took resolution to form a separate Association for the Postmasters at Circle as well as National level. By this way the “Postmaster Cadre Association, West Bengal Circle” was born. Now renamed as All India Association of Postmaster Cadre, West Bengal Circle in accordance with the proposed Constitution of the All India Association of Postmaster Cadre passed in its first A.I.C. at Mumbai on 01/10/2012.
